Oh so happy, doing the happy food dance . For several years now I have made while in season a peach bar b que sauce. It is my specialty now and everyone cannot wait to get their hands on it. The thing is it needs to sit for months on end to cure so to speak. If the flavors don't blend for a long time it just isn't as good. Now though it is DONE It's funny my sister in law who rarely comes to visit us is on her way because I sad something about the sauce being done on Face book..lol I guess I need to bribe them with barbecue sauce to see them! Well it's flavoring some pulled boar right now and my whole family is bugging me about when it is time to eat. Just had to share our joy as sometimes it's the simple things in life that are just so good.

Whatever works to get the family to come around, huh? This specialty of yours sounds interesting. I use lavender and rosemary on mine.

That sounds nice. I like the lavender when grilling or baking because it gives the meat a sort of smokey flavor.

I have never used the lavender on meat, I will have to try it. I usually make a few jars of lavender sugar with fresh flowers and use it to make pound cakes and sugar cookies. I like the lightly floral taste it gives to the baked goods.

hi opinionnated lady yes its often the really simple things that make my day like the other day when we had eggplant Parmesan which was good but the dessert was what made my day. Just a simple dish of chocolate ice cream but oh my did it taste really really good. See I have diabetes and usually the caregiver gives me sugar free fat free, taste free ice cream. But having that real chocolate ice cream instead of other desserts was special. A different care giver was on and I got to eat that chocolate Ice cream that was the real McCoy. I still feel happy just thinking aout it and remembered that chocolate taste smooth and creamy too. ccccccccccccjust tyhinkibg abouyt it as its not somethibng I do every da

lol I had a similar experience with cream in my coffee. I had been buying the low fat stuff for so long and then I began making my own, still low fat but oh how much better.

That is great. It sounds like something one would enter into some kind of BBQ contest. I know it sure sounds yummy!

It is my creation! We had a prolific year of peaches a few years back. We had so many we had no Idea what to do with them. so I canned and spiced and made sweet pancake syrup and what not but still need something. I came across a recipe to make barbecue sauce using grape jelly and figured why not peach. At first everyone was like it's ok. Then two jars sat in the pantry for months as it was only ok. I decided to waste not want not and use a jar, well the sitting time took a so so sauce over the top! I have made it and let it sit since.
