This is what I collect in the internet about what bad experience they had during massage and also in a news report. In news report A man have died in a massage parlor.the doctor said You cannot stretch up the feet or thigh of a person or doing such kind of massage for it might cause heart attack to the patient. I also read a blog about this lady who after made a massage almost loss her vision for almost 3 days. and also her mother experience health problems during massage despite that therapist is well known in their place. So it's not always that massage is good. but it can be harmful too.

Yes it be harmful if the masseur is not will trained, i undergo a training in basic reflexology, according to our trainer we must first as the the medical history of the client because there are some parts of the body that should be avoided to touch or to massage if the client has a particular illness.

Yes, I do agree with you that massage has its good as well as harmful . I had personally experienced the harmful effects of massage. I hurt my right hand on one occasion and someone recommended me to go for a Physician Massage Centre . After a few sessions of the massage, I notice all my fingers and palm became swollen and it was very painful. I could not even hold a pen to sign my signature nor writing . I stopped going for the treatment and went to see my family doctor instead. I was told to rest/soak my hand in a little hot water daily. I did that for a few months and the swell subsided and recovered .

thanks for sharing your stories and for the technique.I should do that too as my hands is a bit swollen coz I can't avoid washing my hands while typing online especially when I go to the bathroom and eating. That is also the reason why I refuse the training and job being a massage therapist.I am afraid I might be put into jail once I made a mistake to my customer esspecially i have hands palsy and sometimes it tremor.

I would have loved a massage occasionally but after my back injury I am not sure if that is the right thing although when I get a pedicure they do massage my legs up to the knee level.

What you said is correct. Massage also has its harmful side, but this happened when the masseuse is not a trained. Make sure that the masseuse that you get is trained and a professional one.

How scary. Massaging involves work on our nerves. It is important that whoever is doing a massage is well trained.
