Had my surgery

They ended up putting me under anesthesia and put a breathing tube in because I had to be on my stomach for the surgery. What they found was they didn't find any stones but the bile duct that got left behind from when I had my gallbladder removed had blockage in it and that was causing stuff to not pass through and is what made me sick. So with the scope they opened up the bile duct wider and hoping that will do the trick and things will start passing through. I can't have anything to drink for 24 hours, then clear liquids for another 24 hours then I can eat. They are doing this to prevent me from getting pancreatitis because that's the worst to go very painful and requires hospitalization. So i'm listening to the doctor but I haven't had anything to drink since 9pm yesterday. I just had an ice cube so hopefully that will hold me over til noon tomorrow when I can drink again. Now it's just the recovery process.

Ah, yes the recovery process. How fun for you. I bet you will be happy when you can drink something again. Hope all this helps and you are feeling better. A blockage of any kind can cause all manner of problems. Glad its over.

Me too, except for today I spiked a fever of 102 and if it doesn't go down I'm going to have to go to the Emergency Room. I vomited 3 times yesterday but I'm thinking it was from the Anesthesia they gave me. I can't wait til this is all over though.

Good luck I hope you don't have this issue now like I am. Hopefully doing this surgery does the trick and I don't get sick like this again. If not then Off to another hospital I go.
