Saving Money On Movies and Groceries

I was wondering how many of you do refund offers by mailing in the form and proofs to get money back? Sometimes you can go to a web site and enter the codes and get the refund that way. I did that with Starbucks and Totinos Pizza. I received a gift card from Starbucks and a $5.00 coupon to save money on my groceries. Tonight I did the movie ticket offer to see Iron Man 3 by entering 4 codes at a web site. Now I'm waiting for them to validate my codes and tomorrow or Monday will print out my ticket to see the movie next weekend. The last movie we saw I entered General Mills Cereal Box Codes and we saw the movie free. Yes still buying something, but with a good sale can be entertained and have food on the table. Anyone else see movies for free or at a low cost?

No, I typically buy whole foods--not heavily processed ones. I believe in buying local foods as much as possible, and I use a lot of fresh vegetables. While they may not come with refunds or codes, they do come with lots of nutrients and help to support the local economy. Seems a much better deal to me.

We have a Farmer's Market every Saturday morning rain or shine in this city. Many of my neighbors do go get food there. Its where you can find out what is going on around the city, as the city council answer questions. I'm going to have a greenhouse hopefully before the fall. I have always wanted one and have been looking, so I can grow produce year round. We have only a few frosts, but they are enough to hurt my strawberry crop. Thanks for posting.

Sometimes it works but not always.

I agree there are times offers aren't going to save me money and I'll skip them. If I need to buy lots of an item many times its not going to be saving money and I will look for other offers. My favorite are on package offers. Thanks for posting.

I never have done it, but thanks for the info. I will be paying attention to my cereal boxes from now on.
