The Same Things

I know we all have to go to the grocery store sooner or later how often I don't know for some but I find myself going every week, I would like to buy things that would last for longer than a week but it is hard to do for me, I don't really buy things in bulk except for things like Toilet Paper he he he l.o.l. But anyway as I was shopping this weekend I wanted to buy different things other than the things I always buy, Like maybe some radishes, sausages some microwave things but I ended up only buying a couple of different things, I was so tiredof the same thing over and over again, Do you get like that? Try to chnage things you get at the store?

We only buy what is necessary in the grocery. We don't have spare for any thing fancy because we are saving up for our child's future. So even if we buy the same grocery set over and over, as long as we are saving money from it, I don't have problems.

I usually buy the same things. Sometimes I go off a particular something. I went of the seed sensation bread. Now I have a farmers loaf and it tastes much nicer. It is wholemeal brown bread by the slice. In my younger days I loved to eat French stick bread. It was white bread. I eat a vegan diet. If there is special offer I buy in bulk like toilet rolls and bars with a long date on them. At the moment I am buying some bars for 89 pence. They usually cost one pound and thirty nine pence for four. Four of them are in a pack. I buy strawberry soya drinks many at a time for my daughter.

My partner and I moved into an apartment last November, and that apartment happens to be at a very good location. The wet market, supermarket, hardware store, and pet feed store are all 5 minutes away on foot, or nearer. Because of this, our shopping habits had changed. We no longer buy and store food at home, we buy them every day. There are some advantages to this. First, there is no more need for refrigeration, since we buy meat and produce from the market across the street and cook them directly. Second, even if we find ourselves out of a certain item (say, toothpaste) it is so easy to just go out and buy some (nearest supermarket about 20 steps away, and when it's late there's a 24-hour convenience store also 20 steps away in the opposite direction.) The only things we buy in bulk and store at home are pet food, and rice. As for buying the same things over and over again, we don't deal with this since there are plenty of choices for us. What is sometimes challenging is to actually decide what to cook and eat for the day, as there are so many choices. Many times, my partner would just go to the market without any idea of what to cook for dinner, and he'd go around and come home with whatever he found. As he does most of the cooking, he does most of the shopping as well.

hi there jahernandezrivas. i'm usually in the same position as you are. when i go to get my groceries, i pick out the usual brands that i've grown accustomed to. it could be downright 'boring' so to speak. once in awhile though i try out a new brand or product. i wouldn't buy a lot, just enough to try it out. if i do like it, i buy some more the next time i shop for groceries, if i don't, its fine... i'll just go back to the smae stuff that i have been used to. cheers and happy posting!!!

I do get tired of the same old thing all of the time. I think we are feeling Spring fever right now. I want sandwiches and cottage cheese. I love avocado and tomatoes with a light dressing. And I am hungry for asparagus. It is so good sauteed with sweet onions and a little olive oil. So many delicious things to fix in Spring time.

I do not mind buying non perishable stuff that could last for months. As I used to get them while on sale/promotions . However, I will still shop on a weekly basis for those that are perishables. I do not like to keep a lot of perishables in the the firdge as it does not look fresh. Keeping it for a week should be no problem for me. Most of the things I buy would be repeated items !

No. I buy a variety of foods. Of course, we also follow a fairly healthy and vegetarian diet, and I enjoy cooking; so, there is less of a danger of falling into a rut there. I buy things such as brown rice, lentils, orzo and dried beans in bulk. All of those ingredients serve as a good basis for a variety of veggie-filled dishes. I also try to keep plenty of tempeh and root vegetables on hand. The former serves as a chief ingredient in my vegetarian chili, is delicious baked, etc. The root vegetables are delicious roasted or used in a variety of dishes.

i usually buy the same types of food every week. i buy them fresh and i cook them in diiferent styles to give a sort of variation to my meals. usually i buy beef, chicken, fish, eggs, and different kinds of vegetables. i am not very picky with food and neither is my husband. except for a few occasions, we've been eating these for years.

I always buy the same meats, I just am not good of when it comes to quick thinking on what to make with it. I am not too picky but my husband is he always wants Mexican food and a hamburger now and then. I just would like to try something different.

Hi Jaher! When I do grocery shopping, I usually have a list and buy the same brand as usual. Because I trust these brands and these are the things I often use and need. But sometimes my list changes if there are discount items. Hehe! Love to buy in bulk with those discounted items especially if they half longer shelf life like soap bars, shampoos, toothpastes, liquid detergents, etc. Thanks for the discussion :)

I dont have a problem with buying things at the grocery over and over again. This is going to sound really weird but i love doing the grocery. If i have my way and can do it every day, i would. I usually get the same things but it depends on whats on sale as well.
