How else will I know if a discussion needs further comments. We do not get notifications perpetually. Right? And so the only way to further a discussion is to check if there are any unattended comments. I know many do not do it and therefore so many discussions end with just one response and one comment. How do you go about ensuring that you do not miss out on discussions that need your attention? Or you just don't come back

I do go through my old discussions sometimes and reply to unattended comments. But regret it does not happen to often because I am not too regular here.

Not everyone can do it for the reasons you have mentioned but I somehow feel I fail to contribute my bit towards earnings of others by not doing that.

Hi Allknowing I have off my all notifications for my account. So far I never use those notification to reply back. I do all those stuff manually like you mentioned. I just used to check "Started" discussion tab where I can see all my discussions. Plus we used to get discussion on top which is having latest response or comment so I can comment back in them. I am following this thing from starting.

Sometimes even going to 'starting' does not help as you will only see the last activity. Before that there could be others who may have responded and/or commented. That is why one needs to go through the entire discussion over and over again. Because it is not done this way many responses/comments do not get attended to.

I do get notifications. I reply but for my own discussions, honestly I tried so many times to continue the discussions. I am only successful with some. My internet connection irriates me when I want my computer to work faster so instead of going back I just reply to discussions and/or start a new one.

There are so many reasons why a discussion ceases to be a discussion the slow connection being one of the major one. A complete discussion would make such a big difference. I go back and forth till I am satisfied that I have done justice to all the posts.

After 48 hours of my starting a discussion, I never return back to any of those for anything like responding back. Sad, but that is how I have been all throughout my Mylot History. The next time I attend to my discussions is when issuing the BR - and this is the time, that I read all the comments which arrived later and still, if there are too many of them, I dont feel like responding back to all. Only a few might get responded. Sorry to disappoint!

Yes, that is one of the reasons that I have not been starting any new discussions these days. In fact it has been months now. The summers and the bad supply of power and Internet have made me go so very slow. Also, I am unhappy with the discussions of these days at mylot - i mean, recipes, poems from someones children and blog like entries are making it big and getting allowed too... so the quality of discussions has fallen and mylot has degraded its quality. That is the bigger reason. But still, I hope that I will soon come up with some discussion... maybe in May 13...

Hi Bro Lol giving only 48 hours.. May be that's why you are starting discussion when you are free so that you can give those 48 hours perfectly. I mean I don't see more discussion from you these days.

You are not the only one. There are scores who do not get back. I know it because my responses/comments remain unattended.

I check it once in awhile especially if I just posted a discussion so that I can response who participated on my topics :)

Normally the 'discussions started' tab does give an indication that there is activity but it is possible that there could be someone who could have posted before that. And so one needs to check the entire discussion frequently.

I am also encounter such problems. Sometimes I go through my discussions again and found some "further" responses/comments not send to my email. So, I would go through them again and try to comment . I did turn on all my notifications for all my friends, but I do not know why the "further" responds/comments were not being sent to my email. However, I am glad that I do go through them even after some time !

Sending notifications for every post would perhaps be a huge task for myLot. I only wish we had a better way to know if there is activity in our discussions. I do not like to keep a comment unattended and that is the reason that I keep checking.

I still go back to my thread discussion topic. I just check it one by one but sometimes, if I have no mood or I have something on my mind, its difficult for me to comment back. I just read of what they wrote. That is it.

There are many like you who do not comment back and the discussions thus remain half done. Sad

Can't you just go to your preferences and turn on the "Notify by Email when someone replies" option? This should give you email notifications and links in said email messages to the discussion where someone has replied to your comment.

They are all enabled. Not every response and/or comment is notified.
