"Dump the Girlfriend who Buys You a Birthday-Cake but Tells You It's Homemade."?

That's what MAXIM Magazine's May 2012 "Helpful Hottie" Persephanie Lesperance says you should do, but I disagree. I think the store-bought cake is the girlfriend's affirmation that she wants you to have the best she can get you I would warn her--however--that claiming the cake is homemade when it is in-fact NOT will make people (including yourself, the boyfriend) expect her to perform just as well or better with 'homemade' projects in the future! What do you think?

I'd just be grateful someone had bought me a cake! The homemade claim is a terrible risk. So easy to get caught out.

It is lying, period! To act like you can bake when you can't is a sign that she will lie about anything. It is better to tell him point blank, I don't bake birthday cakes I'll have you specially made. That shows she is honest And she wants him to have something special!

If she lies about that, she will sure lie about things far more important. Dump her...

hmm, sorta like Jesus Christ's 'Because I cannot trust you in small things, I will not trust you in large things'! But what if you can't tell it's not homemade? I mean, what if she really is 'that good' (even layers, immaculate frosting)?

thats not bad. we buy homemade things a lot. it is possible that she bought it as a homemade product sold in a store.
