The value of friendship

To many of us (or should I say, to most of us) yesterday`s anouncement mylot made was a hard blow. Many of us don`t like to have rules changed anywhere, most of us want any change to be explained in advance, all of us want a say in what we are doing. For me, as I have said, this was a mayor earthquake. And I am not thinking about my $10 a mont (if). Ihave given here many reasons since yesterday, in many posts.
But I have been moved by how friends have gathered and exchanged email address, how PMs have been full of personal interest.
Many of us will not be able to spend a long time each day at a site that will not pay at all. We all have our needs and unfortunatly mylot forgot about its members needs. But we do have a time to talk to each other on FB or via mails to our personal friends. Whatever we think of this new mylot, we must always remember that it was a wonderful site where we met wonderful people from all around the world. This is a sort of goodbye. I will come once a day to say hi, or maybe once every 2 or 3 days. But I will keep me friends and my heart and house are open for them

A hug to you dear Marguicha. I am really going to miss the old My Lot. I don't think that My Lot is going to be the same again. For me too, this news was like a major earthquake, with the ground still shaking.
I loved meeting up with you last year. At that time we never imagined something like this would occur did we. I have gone down with an awful cold today. I am glad that I have your email address. I will be staying in contact with you.

They have put time and money, but no brains from what I can see. If you want something to work, you must discover what the community wants.

I`ll come by every 2 or 3 days and say hi to friends. And also to see who has stayed and what are they doing. Maybe mylot will think it over.

I agree it is a sort of goodbye! I have to say I Am quite devastated in a way but on the other hand the friends that matters are still there and that is a good thing! I have being trough a lot of changes in my life and I guess I Am going to get use to one more....so let explore the new site it may be good after all!!!

As this site is something that I have to learn to use again as it is completly different from the old one, and as all my friend are migrating to Bubblews, I am spending more time learning how to use the other side, complemented by two places in FB for mylotters.

I only found out this today was in raveling from Puerto Rico to New Mexico so was not contact with mylot. The is a sad day for all of us who have been here for a long time. I will send you my email by private message. This is so sad but I will come here at least once a day once I'm back from New Mexico which will be at the end of May! Take care

I have no intention of giving my work to them. I work for free at a site that gives rice to the hungry (freerice.com) not cents to the greedy.

Happy to see some "old" friends here - maybe we get used to this site, even if I miss the old layout.
It could be nice to find the FB sites where some from myLot are gathering. Do you have the names of the sites??
I think we can use our imagination to combine myLot with our earning sites.. I am already using Facebook for posting articles from Expertscolumn there. Might get some readers here too.

I'm sorry to hear the changes are driving people away. I was myself shocked after being awol for some time to find things have RADICALLY changed here!! I commented on an earlier discussion about myLot needing a change in how it looked, not the earnings & other vital stuff on it. Did anyone get notified about this sooner? By the way, how do people exchange emails now that there doesn't seem to be a messaging system anymore?

Mylot went the way of the corporates but laid the ground work for many people to connect along the way. I am thankful for my delightful friends and will cherish the opportunity given me that led to our meeting. Truth be known, I wasn't making a lot of money here anyway but I did meet some incredible people. We should all keep in touch.

Same here, I will come once in 2-3 days too, considering how much I post, I also cannot get money, but also here is very fun talking to many people in every walks of life. I still love mylot!

Through my three years here I was not very active but I always come back as the atmosphere of selfless sharing, inspiring and concern among faceless mylotters throughout the globe is what I can't feel in FB. I am now missing the old set up and felt sad by the reduce/absence of activities of prominent members whom I always come across every-time I come to this site.

I was totally shocked to see these changes. I just logged in and was planning to spend my weekend here in Mylot but now I am having second thoughts. I may not have exchanged email addresses or contacts to people here at Mylot but I have to say that a lot of people here in Mylot, including you, marguicha, had inspired me, entertained and even kept me updated with the different events all around the world. I may check this site once in a while, but not as enthusiastic as I used to. I really hope to get in touch with a lot of people here in Mylot.
