How can I stop all of these windows opening in my browser?

It seems that every time I click on a discussion a new window opens; whatever I do rather I go to my account or whatever it opens a new window, before I know it I have 6 windows open and then I have to go and close them and leave 1. This is very annoying, didn't have this problem with the old MyLot! Is anyone else having this problem?

Does this make 'em open in the same window, or does it prohibit any from opening? (I would experiment but I'm very lazy when it comes to my Firefox settings. )

Unfortunately, Chrome doesn't appear to have any setting to "open links in new tab" rather than in a new window, Firefox does - but Taz is using Chrome. However, my installation of Chrome DOES default to opening a new tab, rather than a new Window. I wonder if it is because Chrome is actually based on the Mozilla engine and is reading some settings from the Firefox settings in the registry?
