Mr. Chihuahua

Will not eat his food until we feign attack. He will then give a playful growl and run off with the treat or gobble up his dinner right then. Is this a normal dog thing or just him?

I am not certain if it is breed specific, but it sure sounds funny. Maybe when you are feeding him he is not really hungry at the moment.....but when you pretend to attack him he thinks you are going to steal his food, then he won't have it to eat later, so he gobbles it down?

He's very trusting of us near his food. Now, if we threaten to give it to his girlfriend, he will usually gobble it right up.

I have a chihuahua that does the same thing, I believe it is a chihuahua thing we call it. It is just his character so I believe he is happy and it is normal
