hi,I'm from China,a very curious language learner. hot! I find a doubtful sentence in OED(NEW OXFORD DICT),“I did so much shopping” ,a tricky sentence. Does it nesassarily mean "a person bought a lot of items"?Or just means "you spent so much time purchasing"??? Which is the most accurate meaning?

HI .... I Think it depends on the sentence that is used --after-- Example: I did so much shopping, but I did not find anything I liked. Or, I did so much shopping and now I have no room to put everything away! :) does this help?
