I have known many Chinese people so my answer may not be the best... but many I know are very nice people. I also lived near China in South Korea for about a year teaching English.

Stereotypically speaking Chinese people have different facial features from other races. As for how they act, Chinese people are becoming more modernized and is basically the same as any other race. There are bad and good people everywhere in the world regardless of race, so I think people should look at that instead of the ethnicity of a person and try to judge them that way. ^^

Other than some obvious cultural differences, as individuals, Chinese are not that much different from the rest of us.

As now more and more Chinese go abroad give the foreigners more chance to better know them, basically they will think Chinese is smart, hard-working guys.
