Way Too Hot

When we left the car show last evening, we saw a temperature sign that said it was 112 degrees, F.
Our sensor on our vehicle said 108. Either one of those is way too hot for me. We do have shade, and the show is in a park. We have lots of icy drinks in a cooler chest, but hubby knows that with my fibro I cannot handle all of this heat. I am staying home today, so that I will be in good shape to help him tear down the EZ UP tomorrow.
I will get some stuff done here at home and also will get to visit around on the site some today, since I am at home.
I used chiller scarves on my neck and drank lots of cool drinks, including tonic water to keep down the leg cramps. I know some of you are in your cooler season now, so I wish I could visit your.
I should not complain, this is the first really hot spell we have had all summer.

I am not one for heat either. I start feeling really disoriented if I am out in the hot for too long and I just can't stand that. I would rather be a bit too cold myself. Does tonic water help more so than regular water with muscle cramps?

Tonic water has a little bit of quinine in it, supposed to be good for cramps. So is gatorade but it has more sugar and funky chemicals. Diluted fruit juices also help. Leg cramps come from having your levels of potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium messed up. That is what the "electrolytes" are in sports drinks.

@GardenGerty I know I would much rather eat some fruit or drink some tonic water. Gatorade used to taste good to me, and I am sure it still does, but I know how unhealthy it really is.

A storm moved in up where the show is. I think we may have one here, as I have a sudden headache.

@GardenGerty Well, stay dry. We are having another hot one today. I hope it don't last too long this time around.

We have also very high temperatures in France since the end of June. In my area we had rain yesterday for the first time since a month, and the weather was less hot today. I hope that it is the end of the heatwave. I don't like summer. Autumn is the best season here.

Mostly this has been a cooler summer than usual. I just do not like having to be outside when it is this hot. It is unusually hot.
