I found a little pup at our local pound yesterday and she is a real sweety...except for the fact that she is a ruddy noise box, barking mostly at nothing and she's not house trained. I've named her Gypsy. In an effort to distract her today, we all went for a walk, that is, Ben, Gypsy and I; Ben is on a long lead and Gypsy a short and that works well.
Soon we were walking past a house with two dogs; one a rowdy young pup and the other a big snarly growly mean looking dog. Of course, Ben went at them and Gypsy added her high pitched yelping bark and it was on, next thing you know all the dogs within hearing are making a ruckus.
i collected the mail and proceeded round the block with only a little commotion and all was well, home was in sight when I realised the gate where the mean dogs were was open. We are on the road, my two are scared witless as the nasties come at us and the grass verge is soggy from the rain and the leads have become tangled.
The two nasty dogs are coming at us and my two decide to get into it with them. I'm tangled and panicking and manage to drag mine away as the others back off. I'm thinking I'm safely past the danger when the 2 nasty dogs approach at a run from the rear. Ben came when i called but Gypsy slipped her collar and I'll be damned if this little girl didn't chase the other two home. She's a Jack Russell, Fox Terrier cross.
Everything is quiet at the moment which means mischief so I'd better go and check.

She sounds overly energetic, so I hope you are able to keep up. Probably the best fitness program around. Glad you did not become lunch for the growlies.

@MsTickle Maybe the raccoons that SGT has to watch for have made a visit to your place.

Oh yes, Jack Russells are quite protective! She's cute. My brother in law has a Jack Russell, used to be quite excitable but has quieted down very nicely and is one of the sweetest dogs I know!
