Lots of Peacock Poop!

Mind you, there are lots of peacocks; about 35 I think. I am at my two-day-a-week job and the owner and his son are due to arrive here in about two hours. The staff are busy shovelling up the poop. It would not be so bad if they would poop on the grass but they do it on the walkways, chairs, verandas - anywhere they like. Honestly, I do love them but the mess they make and the destruction of gardens has to be seen to be believed. I bought last Friday some beautiful yellow bougainvilleas and they have eaten off the flowers! Which one of you did this? I yelled. They just scurried off with their tails flying high or feathers flying high from where their tails would be if they had tails. Get it? Anyway, lunchtime is over and I have to face the very hot sun. I've forgotten what to do now. Don't I have to tag it or something? Sheesh! Where's a lamb when you need one? Don't even think of asking me about uploading photos and stuff like that. I guess that I will just have to learn it all again. Anyway - good to post again! &cynthie's slices of life &peacocks

It's kind of like the geese at the local lake. They poop everywhere...

Amazing isn't it? Then the males spread their thingies and they look so magnificent!

Hubby used to ride to work with this redneck jerk who pulled over and tried to shoot someone's peacock on the highway one morning. Hubby got him going, and others joined the fun. They told the idjit that Peacocks were endangered because they were all male. Hubby and the boss and a few others had fun with this.

Just be thankful they hadn't been to curry night at the local - that could have resulted in industrial quantities of poop.

What a dreadful thought! I also have 12 Doves in their bird house - just cooing around getting used to the place before they are released to the Dove Cote. I adore birds but the poop from the peacocks and around 150 pigeons and Doves is amazing.
