Tornadoes scare me

A town near where I live had a tornado touch down and cause some damage to buildings but no loss of lives .About the worse thing in my town to have happened lately is high winds did a lot of damage when trees where uprooted and landed on one section of a house not far from where I live, luckily no one was inside at the time and they are now starting the process of rebuilding the room.

It is extremely rare that we have tornadoes where I live but I was watching tornadoes on YouTube earlier today and they are amazing to watch like seeing how they form and learning about them. But yes the damage and deaths are just horrible. Very sad.

well of course high winds can cause damage but not like a tornado can.

@Marcyaz That is so bizarre. I've seen that in documentaries but I can't fathom that. I thought the wind around it could at least do a bit of damage even if it wasn't touched.

A tornado is one thing that I do NOT ever want to see. Pretty scary!

My BFF lives in Oklahoma and the tornadoes hit down close to her all the time. That scares me. And she a huge family so I am always worried about that.

Yeah I am pretty dang scared of them too. Typhoons are bad and gales and hurricanes. The scaredest I was , was by the sea, right by the sea the waves would come up 30 ft and it was horrible scary tho exciting too.

Here in portugal we hardly ever see tornadoes. Luckily.
