I turned the heater on

Here it is, the first week of August which are usually so hot and humid, the only way to stay cool is by swimming or staying in the A/C. But we had a very mild summer and when a couple weeks ago it started getting hot, I was happy to see that summer is finally here...until today.
I slept in until 9:30 (I am usually up no later than 7:30) and it was raining, and it rained most of the day. Then around 3:30 it stopped, but it is cloudy and not warm. I took a shower and my hair was still wet at 5:30 when I left to pick up my son and I had to turn the heater on in the car.
With all the changes in the weather pattern, wouldn't it be interesting if everything went backwards.. Like winter here will feel like summer and in the summer there will be snow. (It actually did snow in Hawaii not too long ago).
That said, I am going to throw on some socks to keep my feet warm.
Is the climate in your area all messed up? Could this be the beginning of the end?

Besides the ongoing drought and no rain - something does feel off. We normally have super hot summers - but honestly, besides a few days of being hot, we haven't had the usual streaks of that heat wave - and pretty much summer has been mild - with many overcast mornings which is also unusual. But it's possible it could get hot here on out! And then I am reading we might be hit with a severe wet winter? Odd - very odd!!

Oh I hope this winter isn't too cold, I have to drive to the main campus four days a week this semester.

Well, since school is starting soon, I don't think I want it that hot anymore, I won't have time to swim. lol Yes, cooler days are ahead, I just hope not too cold.

@Carmelanirel2 It gets cold, and we have had a blizzard or two. But nothing like where you live. But it's not that we have mild winters. No one else in Oklahoma would turn on the air in their car during winter. It's just me. I've been that way since I was a kid; always hot.

Hi @AmbiePam Wow, you must have mild winters to turn the A/C on, but I don't think I ever turned the heat on in the month of August before.

Yes it is messed up. No longer rains in May and October when we plant. We are in our second year of drought and next year's forecast promises to be hotter!

Oh no, that isn't good, if only I could give you some of our rain. I know on the west coast they are also experiencing drought.

@Carmelanirel2 I am sorry to let you get concerned! I should have told you where I went to .The fatal explosion occurred exactly when I left for YunNan and the next several days I wasn't active here ,only coming here a couple times using the hotel computer.I am happy that you have a mild summer. Here the hot days are still in full swing.

@changjiangzhibin89 Well it isn't like you have to let me know what you are doing all the time, but it did concern me that the explosion happened about the same time you left.
I actually prefer a hot summer since I live on the lake, but that's okay, I was able to do some swimming and even rented a canoe a couple times this year.

That's okay @changjiangzhibin89 and I'm just glad that a member told me you were not near that explosion.
Ironically you had left at the time it happened and next thing I knew, you were not replying, not that I expect you to reply to all my posts, but you were not anywhere here and you know, I have an imagination and was starting to get concerned.
However, like I said, I was told you were not near where this took place, so I was relieved and thankful she told me.
Now, back to the topic. July and August are usually the dog days of summer, but not this year and there's been a couple times I put on long pants and socks. This week has been warm, but not extremely hot .and now that my son is back in school and I start school next week, I hope we don't get really hot days.

No wonder a lot of americans visit my country, because of the tropical weather most specially summer. well, it's a lot hotter now here despite of the seasonal rain.

Yes! If I could afford to visit another country, especially during the winter months, it would be to a tropical climate if they had either a beach or a pool to cool off in.
