A Hint About Suggesting Posts

For those who don't know, you can suggest your posts to those who follow you by clicking on suggest at the bottom right of the post and then clicking the button next to each of your follower's names. I'd like to add a word of caution along with this wonderful feature though - please don't suggest every post you make to every single one of your followers! So far, my unofficial rule has been to suggest only two or three of my discussions per day to people and I expect others to do the same for me. If I log in and see you've suggested every single post you've made today to me...I'm probably not going to read or comment on any of yours. Please, let's avoid spam and use some manners as far as suggesting posts

I think I only suggested two so far. But I feel my posts have been doing well with many responses. I like the interactivity they have been getting. That's why I don't like to make post after post. I like a post to settle in for awhile before writing another one.

Agreed on the letting a post settle. I have maybe 20 posts that I've prewritten in a notebook but only a few ever make it to reality. Most get scrapped as I decide such and such is a better one to post. I think if we just post one after the other, they get lost and people don't really see them.

@Lolaze I have a few sitting around myself. And since I write on three sites, I pick and choose which ones go to which sites.

@inertia4 I probably need to get back to writing on PersonaPaper to cut down my backlog of posts/articles. I must have too much free time....or my brain just goes too fast. I'm going to need a new notebook soon.

So far I've only sent one suggestion to one person because my post was written in response to something he said in the comments on another post. So far he doesn't seem to have read it though, so that didn't help. Usually I don't have the self-confidence to suggest my posts to anyone.

I've only suggested one so far. Okay, so I didn't actually use the suggest box. The member's name wasn't on the list , so I had to message it to them. Oh yeah, and it wasn't my own post either. It belongs to another member! So as you can see, I don't use it very often!

This will be helpful when there are few new posts but when the site gets crowded then 'suggest' will take a back seat.

I havent tried yet the suggesting post feature but I wont mind to see bunch of suggested topics on my notification, I can use it to search for interesting discussions from the people Im following and if I have something to contribute then I will surely respond. But I also understand your point about spamming. Even I welcome all the suggestion posts on my notification still I will never spam the people I follow in here.
