Pros and cons of new job so far

Let's start with the cons. First, their servers block all personal email accounts, which sometimes makes it hard to do even necessary business. I have to forward emails to my work email, like for my time card. Second, it's a much smaller office, so no cafeteria and only one vending machine. Third, I miss my friends. Fourth, it's a contracting job, and benefits are expensive. Fifth, I can't go walking down by the lake or the river any more. Now for the pros. First, I get to learn new things. I had a lot of fun on Thursday designing new screens, and learned some of the drawing and object functions in Word better. Second, the people seem nice so far. Third, although it's a little farther from home, I can avoid all the freeway traffic by taking a back road that's really beautiful. Fourth, it pays better, and if I do get hired, it's probably more stable than where I was. Fifth, food truck Friday - a bunch of food trucks from the local restaurants come by on Fridays to the fire station right next to the office, and they have some really good stuff. So far, so good, I guess. Give me a year to see whether I like it better or not.

Seems like you decided already to take it and enjoy the new benefits it gives you..give it some time and see if the pro's outnumber the con's and if so then you will have your permanent answer!..Good luck!

Hey, more money is more money! It all does seem to be headed towards a nice direction - different I'm sure but it'll become routine in time - and maybe you'll really, really like it! How much further do you have to go now?

Because of how expensive benefits are, it's barely more money, but it has good prospects, I think.

Starting is the most difficult part of anything that we do. I'm sure you will get used to it as the days passed. Just enjoy it and everything will be okay. Have a great day!
