7 months to get into a specialist?

I have had so many issues with specialist in the past. I started with one after being sent to one after 13 years of *girl issues that are supposeable normal*. The first specialist seem caring until I refused the medication after being it on a year, and it didn't help. The second told me to go have some children, and he'd do a hysterectomy. I eventually just stopped going to these doctors, and dealt with it. Back in June I went back to my family doctor and the pain was unbearable. He sent out a referral to another doctor in the city this time, and I just got a call today saying my appointment is October 29th.
I can't believe it takes this long, I can almost guarentee that this doctor is going to be useless. I keep getting sent to gynocologist that specialize in children, if you arn't pregnent they are clueless of it.
I am just beyond frustrated and ready to just stop going to any doctors.

Most of my family lives in Ontario and it seems the medical care there is going down hill fast. Come to Saskat. Instant care and still billed to OHIP for the first three months.......you don't have to take up residence, just come for the care. I have a lovely spare room.........

I really should!
It's ridiculous the health care now. I remember years ago I could book an appointment Monday and be in Wednesday. Now I have to call 5-10 months in advance. To top it off you can have 1 issue for the visit. So coming from someone who has a lot of them. For example if I have to renew my blood work sheet thats a visit, if I need a referral thats another visit, and so on.
Most of the specialist are only trained so much into each disease. So I find my family doctor sends me to a gyno and they only know so much. It's beyond frustrating to say the least. I've tried all the option except pain meds, and a hysterectomy (which they refuse, and hand pain meds like candy which I refuse).

That is really sad it seems like no one knows what they are doing to help you.

It comes down to that most doctors only are educated in a small portion of the disease. So this one treatment may work, but when it doesn't it's there the door have a nice day. I found talking to many people with the same issues they are treated the same.
