Today I went to a big city to do the Grocery Shopping

We went to Spirit Lake, Iowa to Fairview Grocery Store and did our shopping there. This small town I live in only has HiVe for groceries and they are really expensive. We are preparing for the winter months so we bought extras in the way of canned foods and meats as the meats we put in the freezer downstairs. We will be going to Walmart for paper products as they still have the best price for these products but will do that on another day.

Sounds like a smart plan Marcy. And indeed I can understand why you went so far to get the discount on goods you will need for the winter.
Walmart is good yes for paper products.
That is where I buy everything here where I live. They are the cheapest and best quality for everything literally.

yes AA Spirit Lake is a beautiful City in Iowa and draws a lot of visitors from all over the world with its beauty and the lake attractions. Fairview Grocery store is just that and they sell just about anything for the home in the way of groceries. HiVe is also a grocery store but it is much smaller and prices of groceries are higher. No Bees there. :)

You sound like a squirrel storing his nuts for the winter..hahah..I lived in Wisconsin as a young girl and know the harsh winters, but have never been to Iowa..Good plans you have!

Sounds like a good trip. I normally visit Walmart and Save-A-Lot once a month. The rest of the time I hit the local Food Lion and Carlie C's IGA. Thankfully they do have reasonable prices. For certain things I do prefer to go to Walmart though.

I think that's why I don't think I could actually live in a small town. I was born and raised in the city. And to me it is way convenient. And I like ti hat way. I actually have a supermarket right around the corner from my house. So, no matter what weather, I can go there to get things I need.
