How Are We New People Getting On?

Well it is my third or fourth day of posting. I quite like it here, but I think I will keep to discussions and continue to post articles on Persona Paper and elsewhere. I don't think this site lends itself to longer articles so I will keep the best of both worlds.
It was not too hard to find the answer to questions I had and now I understand how things work I think I will keep this site as one of the ones I use. The layout is fine.
How about you?

Hello HappyLady. So glad to know someone from my old stomping ground :) Oxford the city of dreaming spires.
I have been in myLot for quite a number of years and there have been a lot of changes.
It is a beautiful day here where I live now and hope it is the same there.

@Jackalyn I was HappyLady but just the technical college years ago, not Uni or anything :) Was too busy galavanting to finish school properly haha ..ahh the joys of youth

@TiarasOceanView Hey! Were you at Oxford Polytechnic. I did Anthropology and English in the 80's on the good old modular course. It became Brookes University and I did all my post grad courses there (Education.) Saw so many good groups there...the SU was brilliant at organizing events.

I was on myLot for a long time before they stopped paying, and now I am back because they've rebooted the earnings program. It looks a lot different from when I used to post here. So, in a way, I feel like a newbie. But I think I will work into it alright.

I'm not exactly new. I joined several years ago! However, I've returned recently after being gone a couple of years. I'm getting on better than expected, although I'm still not too crazy about this new layout!

I am just happy that they have decided to pay us again, and as far as the layout, it is okay, once you get used to finding your way around. It has taken me a little bit to figure it all out, but I think i have got it now. In here, I post more comments and responses, than I start discussions, as I am not that good at starting them, and I have a hard time coming up with a topic of interest, so mostly, I will just be posting to discussions already started. i seem to do fine on those, because I always know what i am going to say, as I think about what to say, as i am typing. I've been here 7 years..well i joined 7 years ago..myLot went through so many changes so i quit here, but came back here about a month ago and besides going off to help my daughter, have only been gone 3 days..i missed a lot of discussions and trying to play catch up now..

Hello there, Im still taking my time to get use to this site, not sure how long i can type and make post because im not addicted the way I used to. the plat form seemed to be more simplified than before because I was here for years too. Im glad they made improvements to this site. have a nice day

It's still to early for me to decide whether it's worth spending a lot of time on here or not. It's looking good so far, but I know all of this type of site takes time to build up a following and get visits to your posts. I'd never heard of persona Paper before, I'll check it out.

Persona is better for articled and here probably better for chat and discussion. I think the two sites are complimentary if you like to do both.

MyLot doesn't seem to be as serious as Persona Paper. You can post just about anything you want here in any format you like. I will also stay here as a change of pace from my other sites.

Persona Paper led me to joining this site. Like you said I like the discussions here, but for the longer articles I shall stick to PP. Nice people on both sites :)
