Vacations

My brother and his family arrived in Cyprus earlier today and they are going to spend one week there. My brother called my mother when they arrived and he said that the weather was really hot even early in the morning. It will take them a while to adjust to the hot weather, but I hope that they will enjoy their vacation a lot.
My husband and I visited Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in 2012, and our vacation lasted 6 weeks. It was an amazing trip and we visited a lot of beautiful and interesting places. Right now we can't afford to travel abroad, but when our house gets sold we might be able to save up money again. In the end of August we are going on a mini vacation in Horsens, Denmark. We are going to visit the medieval festival.
Where did you spend your last vacation? Did you visit a new place or a place where you had been before? Which places do you want to visit in the future (in your own country or abroad)?

I don't like to travel at all. My last vacation was 5 years ago and I spent 6 days at the Black Sea. Now, at my new job, I have to travel to different places, but I don't consider them vacations, as I do it because I am obligated to. I would never go to those places from my own decision.

We are opposites because I love to travel. Yes, it is a different situation to travel because your work requires it. What type of job do you have?

@Porcospino It is a complex job. I work for three things at the same time. A part involves the local hall, another part the European Union and the third part the local tourist attractions.

I always go home once a year, and lately once a year is all the traveling I do.. That is from midwest usa, to new england, usa.. I've not been out of the country except once when we did the trip home by way of above the great lakes and through Canada..

I live in Europe, and I have never been to the US or Canada, but my husband and I have talked about visiting both places one day

The last time I went on vacation was this summer. I went with friends to Sabang Island in Puerto Galera. We mainly went there to get drunk, act silly, and get more drunk! LOL!
Hopefully, this year, I get to spend Christmas at Disneyland Hong Kong. A side trip to Macau to gamble will be awesome as well!
