Do You Have a Sense Of Humor?

United States

Even if it's a dry one? I am a true believer in 'Laughter is the best medicine'. I find it's good for the soul, and can not only lift your spirits but others too. I also tend to get along better with people who have a sense of humor. Mainly cause I have a warped one. I tend to shy away from people who tend to always be uptight. Life shouldn't be taken so seriously, you miss out on the fun. Now don't get me wrong, I can be serious when need be, or times when it is warranted. So do you have a sense humor? It's ok, no one will throw eggs at you if you don't. (well, I can't promise that)

Awesome. Yes, you are absolutely right about that. Life has it's own pressures in itself. We should try to enjoy things as much as we can.

@TexanTornado when things get tough if it seems like it would lessen the tension in the air I try to think of something funny to say

@granny2015 I am so with you there. I tend to do the same thing. However, some people don't take kindly to it.

Well I laugh all the time.. I don't know for sure if I can make others laugh but people enjoy my company and call me up when I miss a party. So maybe I qualify. I enjoy life and see something funny in every situation. Makes life more bearable for me and others around me.

What do you mean? I laugh at you all the time.. opppsss I mean I laugh with you all the time. Yeah, that is what I meant. You are a great person, and I have no doubt you can lighten up a room with your presence. Oh I so totally agree with you, when you can find the laughter in something it does seem to make things more bearable. I always have the mid set it's better to laugh than to cry.

@sofssu You quite welcome sweetie. See your son would know. Kids have a way of stating the truth, regardless. I hate rants and whiners. I tend to 'tune' them out. Thanks. Goodnight.. See ya tomorrow.

Oh thank you so much, Tammy. My son says.. (sitting next to me) that I am a crazy, funny lady. whatever that means, I hate crying.. I hate rants.. I'd rather make a joke of the situation and move on. I hate dwelling on serious subjects for long. Good night from me and you have a great day

Well, I have a friend who used to call me a "clown". I joke with my boss all the time and I like to make my friends laugh but sometimes I can be very serious when it concerns work. So, where are the eggs? I'm waiting to catch a few.

@TexanTornado I don't mind really, I just enjoy making people laugh. When I see people happy, it puts a smile on my face. Yeah, I would love to try your scrambled eggs. Just don't throw them at me.

I hope you take being called a clown as a compliment. Sounds like you enjoy having fun, and seems you have a good working environment. I think that is great. Are you hungry? You wanting some scrambled eggs?

It goes right over their heads huh? That's a shame. I try not to get serious online either. I come online to enjoy myself, not to leave depressed.

I think for the most part everyone's sense of humor is different. We get different perspectives of things. Now see, I'm not a fan of the Big Bang theory. To me there is a difference between humor and just plain stupid.

I had my share of seriousness and today, I have learned there is nothing better than staying light, and taking thinks light. I dont know if I am humorous or witty or anything of those sorts, but yes, I do bathe in the rain, jump over the poodles and float my paper boats along with the kids around in the locality.

@TexanTornado bathing in the rain is really a great feeling to me. I know that this is quite bad when you have Rheumatoid Arthritis but then, rains only happen for a few months and a chance to get a bath in the rain is still lesser.

Well, it seems to me, whether you have a sense of humor or not, you do enjoy life, and take pleasure in things that can be fun. Especially bathing in the rain.

Well Yes, I do have a good sense of humour. My family and friends(real life) enjoy my company, but when it comes to people I talk online I always take care not to throw my sense of humour at them unless we are friendly enough to understand when something is said in humour and when in complete seriousness.

Excellent. Ah yes, I can understand that. However for me, if people online can't take a joke, then I simply move along to those that can. I rather laugh and have fun when I am online, then be tense and uptight.

@TexanTornado I don't have this quality . I don't know why may be manufacturing default . I have seen people who have good sense of humor but when they come to me they will stop coz they feel that i will scold them . My face expression will be very serious , may be that is the reason.

Maybe if you put on a smile on your face, then you won't look so serious

Oh no. Well, perhaps, you can give them a smile and they would be more opted to smile back and perhaps even joke a little with you. Just a thought.

Awww that's a shame. Try lightening up, you might find you enjoy life a bit more.
