I just found out that this month, August is National Immunization Awareness Month

I do receive any immunizations that are suggested or that I really need. I have had the pneumonia vaccine and will be receiving my flu immunization soon. I do feel that for me these immunizations are important to my health.

I never go for flu shots or any other shots. If I don't feel good I go to my doctor. And I think I have to go soon.

If shots is not your thing to do than hey it is your decision but I am glad you do go and see your doctor.

@Marcyaz I do only when I feel I need to. Not for regular checkups though. My girlfriend bugs me all the time to go. I will go sometime this week.

Well since the flu shots are already here I will be going for that and then I will check up on my other ones to make sure I don't need anything else.

Howard I also need to see if I need anything else while I am there for the flu shot. I don't think so but you never know about a booster. Glad to hear you will be going for your flu shot.

I never get any shots..I've always been healthy and don't like what they put in them, but if they seem to help you, Good!

Rose if you don't need the shots that is good you are so healthy wonderful. As to me I know I need them on a yearly basis.

Hi Marcy. I am glad that these immunizations help you. They do seem to help some people. The ones that I got for my son the childhood ones, did some damage to him, so I am not really for them for us anyways. It just depends on the person I guess. Some people are extra sensitive to them.

Yes Ocean, some people are extra sensitive to the immunizations. I myself have a problem not with immunizations but with some medications and have been in some trouble with them so my doctors know I cannot have those.

My daughter got her first shots yesterday. Yesterday my heart was broken. Even though I know they are important for her health but I still hate it

Oh I do remember how that is for a mother and child but it is to make sure she keeps healthy. You did the right thing for your child by making the appointment for her shot.
