This morning when I was watering my little garden, I found out my lady finger plant is blooming. I just realized it when the flower is already so big. This is the first time I successfully grow the lady finger plants. I used to plant oncea few months ago, but they just died when they were still very young. I was expecting I didn't water them enough. I am glad this time the lady finger plants are growing happily in my garden. My son always said the leaves are like umbrellas, and my daughter kept telling me she likes to eat lady fingers. Hope we will get some lady fingers from the plant soon. Do you like to eat lady fingers? Do you grow your own lady fingers?

I know how it gladdens your heart when you see your palnts blooming and doing well, I too love gardening . Your ladyfinger plant looks healthy and in a few days the flower will wither and you can see the tiny vegetable emerging ! I too have a couple of okra plants in my garden..We all love curry made out of it !

The withered flower
I just found out the flower was withered and dropped in the evening, and I saw a baby lady finger there. I wondered if it's how the lady fingers grow. Thanks for telling me this. It's a good learning lesson for me and my children too. I love Indian curry with lady fingers, it's so delicious.

@kaka135 , It is great to watch the vegetable grow, I do that every day and make sure that there is no attack by pests , which we have in plenty in our area and hate to use pesticide, Just gently spraying water all over the plant helps !

Thank you, but I don't really have a green thumb. I just started to learn how to do gardening, and I'm really happy it grows well this time. Eating our own grown vegetables is joyful.

We always plant Okra. I thought it grows in the Philippines only. I learned from one post in Facebook that it can cure diabetes. Not sure if it's true. Look at Okra's flower. It looks like an ornamental one. Did you notice? I always admire its flowers.

Okra is one of my favorite vegetables. And it's easy to grow. I used to have okra plants in my front yard, unfortunately, I had to stop gardening due to the very hot weather. I just can't stand the heat. It's good to know that your daughter likes to eat okra, my seven year old son is very picky when it comes to eating vegetables. He only eats cabbage and beans.
