and received my 1st BD card...addressed to me but no name or message inside the card..So i check the postmark..another town away..writing looks familiar but not certain??
Did anyone send me a card and forget to put a cake in it?
Or some money?
Or a sandwich?

Well, Happy Birthday for TUESDAY, Rosekitty! 
I had to check the Guidelines to see if Milestone posts were allowed (and they're not, really!) Not that this is exactly a 'milestone post' because you have artfully worded it so that it doesn't actually say that it's your birthday! Hmmm ... now is it a Poll??? Well, the Guidelines talk about 'mindless' polls, and I think it's not one of those!
As for your questions, my short term memory is getting worse by the day and I am often uncertain about things like whether I turned the cooker off before I left, what I had for lunch yesterday (if anything) and whether the clock is telling me that it's 6am or 6pm. 
I can't remember whether I sent you a card ... or some cake ... or even a sandwich! Did I? I might have sent you some Baba Ghanoush (but I haven't made it yet) or some Shepherd's Pie.

@Rosekitty My Baba Ghanoush was rather good and was appreciated by all ("... just the right amount of garlic!", "... better than we had at that Lebanese restaurant in Edinburgh!" &c. &c.
Happy Birthday! (I did try to save some for you but the gannets ate it all and, anyway, I think that USPS don't like to carry unidentifiable and perishable foodstuffs!)

@howard96h i know my daughter and her kids are coming by tomorrow cause Tuesday is 1st day of school here..My DIL mentioned last week to take me out..but don't know if that changed since my Son lost his job??

I have gotten a mystery card before too and all they put was their nickname on the card so took me forever to figure out who it was. Hope you find out who sent it to you and happy birthday btw. Hope you had a great day!

I am in a confused state right now... should I wish you a very happy birthday and serve you a cake or should I expect a party and get myself a cake to feast upon in celebration of your special day.
Or should I reveal the secret that I had planned to you the BD Card along with the cake initially, but the cake was looking so inviting and tempting that I even licked out the forks and spoons
.
When the cake was all done with, I realized I should still send you something, so got a sandwich which was stuffed with all the veggies I love. It was then I realized, the distance is quite too much and the bread will not last that long, so I had to eat that out too
.
Last option was money, so that you could buy your own cake or sandwich there.... but then, you know, I am always running short on money
...
so finally, it was the card only
Glad that at least the BD card made it to you.

Now if you think that is going to make me like you more than anyone else in the classroom or be teacher's pet..well you will just have to wait and see..

Meeting? I meet you and you meet me almost daily - ever since MyLot version 2 has come to life again. 
A friend is always a friend dear. True, I do wish there was a city where all I knew stayed close to each other and celebrations or grief were shared amongst us with 100% warmth.

I was going to send you a moneycake sandwich but the bakery told me there is no such thing. I had no better luck at the deli. So I'll have to make do with sending you all my best wishes for your birthday, but not until Tuesday.
