I really, really dislike most TV comedies. I hate slap stick humor. I hate when a person has to put down, belittle or abuse someone to get a supposed laugh. Married...With Children made me want to throw things at the TV. Two and Half Men made me want to puke. Even the remake of Odd Couple makes me cringe. I really do try to watch them but....YUCK!! But, along came TBBT and I fell almost instantly in love with these silly guys. Each and every one of them has huge endearing qualities. I love to watch them try to trip their way through society. I love to watch them try to have normal relationships. The writers are great! Did you see the one where Sheldon is looking for a birthday gift for one of the guys. He and Penny are in the electronics dept. of some store. No salesperson around so he takes over and is helping customers. So funny!

I have passed that show so many times flipping through the channels but I never ever watched one episode. I guess I should check it out, you make it sound like a good show.

It is. It takes a lot for a comedy to impress me and this one does. I hope to catch a few and enjoy them. They might be on Netflix.

It is the best TV show right now as well as the best one in years. I think my favorite episodes are the ones with Bob Newhart.

I've liked this a few years ago, but I got tired of it. I prefer Louie. That comedy show on FX starring Louis C.K.

I consider this to be a perfect example of the pathetic attempts at comedy transmitted on television these days. Over previous years we appear to have introduced a vast number of American sit-coms to British television, none of which appeal to me in the slightest. I prefer the British subtle approach to humour. The American comedies tend to make a big scene of every action, even walking in the room is often followed by an exaggerated stance to elicit applause. They seem quite incapable of even saying "Good Morning" without presenting it as a punchline.

For the most part you are right. I feel that TBBT does it better.

I remember the first time I saw it I told my sister she and her husband had to watch it. Now we all love it. It truly would not be the same without all of them. I think the girl who plays Bernadette is underrated. Using that voice alone is an achievement. It's cool that she patterned that after her mother. How many people would even think of that? One of my favorite moments was when all the guys were in Sheldon and Leonard's apartment with the time machine. It just makes me burst out laughing, and no other sitcom does that to me right now.

i could tolerate the bundy's when it was first on..albeit with a groan at some of the jokes..but nowadays i find it irritating.that man vs woman crap gets old when it's every episode. my bro watches sitcom after sitcom..i have no idea how he watches that mindlessness all night..i'd rather watch the history channel..

I've never seen this show, but it sounds good. We don't have cable anymore, so I'd have to wait until it's on Netflix. I might watch it someday though.

It is a pretty good show. My husband and I have enjoyed it for a while now, although I'll admit I'm losing some interest, but it's a good show, nonetheless.

I've never heard of the show, but we don't have cable so I guess I wouldn't know. I usually rent movies from Redbox or the Library to watch instead. I just can't see spending os much money on cable. I have thought about getting Netflix though.

I love cable but then I am not a healthy, energetic person and am in my room most of the time. Netflix is great too! I have the streaming program right now and it is only$7.99 so it is very cost effective.

Wow! That was weird. I tried to answer you response(above) and it was down at the bottom of the page. Now it is here. You don't care for comedy. I don't care for most comedy on TV. I do like this show.
