We have warm weather all through the year ..however, we used to go to my ancestral village which was surrounded by paddy fields and hills and I have lovely memories of summer holidays spent there when I was a child and later with my children..Now most of the property has been taken over by the town authorities to build a bus stand of all the things and it makes us feel sad !

@xiaolisu Unfortunately we cannot do that since what they have taken over was a paddy field and a hill behind the house and left the house which they know, we will hand over because it will be too noisy when the construction begins...They do provide a house site if you have a house !

We shifted to a semi rural setting after spending our prime life in a city. This is where I get all the seasons. I wish there were snow flakes, though

We do have a cottage on a lake, it is year round though not just a summer home and we have a winter home in Florida. Sometimes 3 homes is a lot to take care of.

my family used to!! we had a shorehouse for the longest time, ever since i can remember basically- it was my grandparents first, then my dad bought it and we had it up until hurricane sandy.... then it was destroyed, and my dad sold it last year because he didnt want to fix it only to have something happen again :(

I live in a small cape cod style house within walking distance of the beach. It's a gorgeous place except during storms. Then I would like to be away from the coast.
