Yesterday was Ingrid Bergman day. This month they are dedicating each day to a different movie star. Right now I'm watching "The Hanging Tree". In addition to Gary Cooper, it has Karl Malden, George C. Scott (his movie debut) and Maria Schell.
Cooper plays a doctor out in gold country in Montana who has a mysterious past. He takes in a young man who was shot in a robbery, and a foreign woman who was hurt, also in a robbery. There is something about a fire that he doesn't want to talk about. I suspect he may have lost his family, we shall see.
Have you tuned in to any of the movies they have been showing this month? I still have a few that I've taped that I haven't watched.

I have seen this movie. I will not tell you the end
. Gary Cooper and Ingrid Bergman were in several movies together, the most famous is probably For Whom the Bell Tolls, and my preferred Notorious by Alfred Hitchcock. I was enjoying to watch TCM, but it is no more available with my new cable provider. Instead I have several thematic movies channels offering mainly French movies.
