Do you think the time zone factor plays a role here in that those who are there online at the same time get better attention?

It sure does.( I mean the time zone factor) . We who are here now have very few people to interact with.. I am always busy when the traffic picks up here. I don't think it is out of sight out of mind; but interactions definitely become less when you are not around.. the back and forth conversation don't happen.

That explains why those who have many sharing their time achieve better results

I think it is all in the timing. If you are on when a lot of others are on.You will have more people reading and interacting with you.

I have noticed on other sites that we can interact even with people who are not online at the moment we are.
