We will be occupied by many things when we get older. You know when you have things to do, the time will pass by quickly. But when you are at leisure and feel uncomfortable, the time will flow by slowly.
When you are mopping, babysitting, or reading, anything that can make you occupied, you will feel that time will flow quickly.
While when you are just mediating, strolling around or doing things with no purpose, you will feel that the whole day is boring and the time just like getting frozen.

It has nothing to do with age but how busy one is . As kids games and fun kept us fully occupied that we had no time for others and so on.

From my own experiences I can say that time flies fast for you when you are concentrated on what you are doing.Hours pass and you never know when.
