Suggestion on the suggestions feature

Some of you suggest posts to me and I don't mind other than I don't have time to read them all as they pile up pretty quickly. I am trying to go through them one day at a time, but there are some that are asking for tips or help with something and though I might have an answer, if it is an urgent reply you need, suggesting me is not going to work because I probably won't get to it for weeks. By the time I get to your post, you would probably have solved it and moved on. I will still answer if I could, but thought I would let you know that I love helping people, but don't really have the time now. That said, I need to move on myself and try to read and respond to some suggested posts.

I'm not very popular, so I don't have this problem. ;) Basically, I only get something suggested to me that I would eventually see anyway, but it makes it easier so I don't have to dig through everything. It would be nice, though, if there was an option to disable suggestions so that you can choose not to receive them if you don't want to.

True, like we can block games on Facebook. It's funny how when I go through the suggestions how I already have commented (or at least read) the post. So really, it isn't needed and posts I am really interested in would be ones for discussing MyLot and their rules and how it works, because rules change and I don't want to make a mistake.

@Carmelanirel2 That's true. I can see it getting annoying pretty quick if you're getting suggestions about things you've already seen and either weren't interested in or had already commented on. That's just redundant and a waste of time. =/

@phyrre Not only that, I do get a lot and it backs up. Like I went through some today and the oldest is August 25th and I have almost 50 and still growing. Since I am leaving soon for class, I am sure there will be more when I get back

It is still a lot and I feel bad if I don't even read the post, even if I don't reply.

I suggest to mainly all my followers except a few that don't like it..and guess wha?t..now since i don't suggest to them even though they have mentioned they can see my discussions, they have quit coming to mine...I don't like that cause now i feel they are ignoring me cause i see them at others..sad cause I thought we were friends for many years..guess i will quit going to theirs

I have commented on many of your discussions because you did suggest them, but you did notice that some were late? That is the point I am making, if one suggest many posts to me, I won't be able to get to them for a while and only on now because of the holiday.

I have limited time on here ,not to speak of making a scrutiny of so many posts on the suggestion .Did you mean the suggestion are made by the posts starters ?

@Carmelanirel2 I barely go to suggestion. If I have more time on here ,I would go direct to my fellowing's homepage to see their new posts or go to explore.

Yes, it is a different way for your friend's to alert you to their new posts. (I don't worry about you, you comment on my posts whether I suggest you or not. lol) But I have 104 notifications right now and scared to even see how far behind I am...

@changjiangzhibin89 Yeah same here, no time. However, Lamby did point out in our settings we can opt out to seeing if someone suggests a post. So I am hoping that when I look this evening that it hasn't gone up.

Maybe it's because I haven't been here long and the feature is new to me but I don't mind suggestions at all. It helps me keep up with discussions.

But what if you had some friends who make many posts a day (most of which you would never reply to because you have nothing to say) and suggest them to you? I like to have control over whose new posts I want to read, not that I wouldn't read my other friend's post, but their posts are not clogging my page or inbox.

@simone10 I did, so now the notifications are only here, not clogging my e-mail.

@Carmelanirel2 I think you can go into settings then notifications and change it to where you don't get suggestions.
