Some people blocked me but it's ok

I even know the reasons why some people blocked me. They felt offended by something that I said and I know what is the reason behind that. It is the way I said it that upset them. Well, not everyone likes me and that is fine. If someone does not like me they can use the block feature and I do not mind that.

That's a shame. I know words can be taken in the wrong way, and interrupted in ways that weren't meant. They could have easily asked you to explain. And if they still didn't like the answer, simply ignore. Or that is my take on it. We are all different.

I also choose not to block people but ignore them if I dislike something that they said.

@Cristi_Ichim Yes, same here. Which I am very good at doing. However, from reading your post, it's good that you aren't giving them the power over you.

It takes alot before I block someone. If I block someone it is usually bad enough for me to report what the person has written or said towards me. I don't mind someone having a different opinion than me. I do mind how someone expresses their opinion towards me. I don't deal with people who like to talk in poor taste all the time.

@Cristi_Ichim Not to me. Anyone who puts me down or indicates I must of walked in to a pole, is not the type of person I wish to discuss things with. As they do not bring intelligents. They tend to bully people til they give up and agree with them.

@rusty2rusty What I meant is that everyone has their own way of dealing with things. You have your way of dealing with trolls and disrespectful people and I have my own way.

I really don't know if anyone has blocked me or not, but whether they did or not, I am sure not going to sweat about it. They have a right to their opinion, as well as I have, and if my opinion ruffles feathers, than so be it. I amhere to have fun, so I don't let things like that bother me.

I never offended voluntarily any member, then if I am blocked (I have at least one blocker) it is their problem, not mine. I have not blocked anybody, and I would do it only for an offensive troll. We are here to discuss and we should be enough open minded to accept others opinions.

@Susan2015 You can read the discussions started by somebody blocking you, but not respond to them. You also cannot send a message.

Sorry about that.. I don't know if I'll ever block someone. I will if they are offensive.. but I may not if i can just ignore them.

I haven't had the need to block anyone so far. If I feel offended with his/her post or comment, I'd rather unfollow that person or simply ignore the post/comment. I don't think I'd be bothered if anyone blocks me either. Like @topffer said, it's their problem, not mine.

As far as I am aware nobody has ever blocked me on any site. However, I am not really sure whether I would become aware of the fact if someone did. Of course this would be academic to me anyway, if someone chose to block me I would not be unduly concerned.

I've never used the block feature personally, and practically every situation I can think of where I'd want to use it the report feature would probably be more appropriate since any user I'd want to block would be breaking a myLot rule (or three). I can't imagine blocking someone just because I disagreed with them or even if I just found them annoying. Forums are much more powerful things if you allow them to expose you to a variety of viewpoints and attitudes, even if they're not always the most pleasant viewpoints and attitudes (not thinking of you, Cristian...just hypothetical people I might feel tempted to block!).

You know, it may be that it is the way you say it, because English is not your first language. Although you write English very well, your writing will not be full of casual idioms and people will read it and think you are being very blunt. I have corresponded with people from Romania, Croatia, Poland and Germany and find that their writing can appear to be rather blunt because of the ways some things are phrased and some people take offense when none is intended at all. We need to realize that a question phrased directly is not an attack. I wouldn't worry about it, if you haven't said anything offensive - and I am sure you haven't. Sometimes even when we are speaking the same language, we will misunderstand each other, right?

I try never to offend anyone on writing sites, even because this is always against the rules. I do not care to block people, if I do not like someone I skip their discussions.
