What stereotypes for your state do you hear about?

So from another discussion we got onto the fact that many people believe everyone in Texas owns a farm, raises cattle, are red necks, drive a truck, know everyone in the State and all talk funny. So what are some of the stereotypes you hear about your State, regardless if they are true or not?

I have visited Texas. I can say if you don't own a truck, you do look out of place. Lol. I live in Ohio. I have been called a worthless nut. Because buckeyes are the state tree which produce worthless nuts called Buckeyes. They are poisonous to eat. Only good for art projects.

I am Italian, there are so many stereotypes about Italy. Among others, everyone is a "mafioso", we all speak with the southern Italian accent of the Godfather (that is absolutely NOT true). We all love pizza and spaghetti, that is also southern Italy food.

I live in North Carolina and everyone thinks we're all rednecks waving around rebel flags.
