That would be me. I got tired of watching Netflix and Hulu on my 19" monitor. So I went to Fry's to get an adapter and got the wrong one. Went back today and got the "right one" for 4 times the price. Then got home and connected everything. No picture! Then I noticed that there was a port at the back of the tv that connected right to my computer. So I can take the adapter back -- have you ever felt stupid over something technical?

LOL, the most visible things are those that we miss. Yes, I confess that this happened to me in the past.

I usually let my husband deals with whatever electronic issues we have at home. If he can't figure it out, he'd snap a picture of the port/adapter/cable or whatever and shows it to the guy at the store so we wouldn't buy the wrong thing.

I'm a complete technophobe too. I have to have help when things go wrong.

aw, big hugs! the hubs 'n i've been lookin' 't a new t.v. fer several years 'n i've not a clue 'bout 'em. our 400 lbs, 12 year old t.v. is startin' to do that white line thingy - but only with regular t.v. 'n not when usin' the vcr. which is odd. if'n we bite the bullet 'n purchase such though, the eldest son'll be on hand coz he's very techny 'n we've not a clue. 'n yes ma'am, he makes us feel purty darned dumb....'n then i remind him the troubles he had learnin' to tie his shoes.
