I Went To A Wedding

Sometime late August, I saw a casting call posted on Dreams Come True Films' facebook page. The call was for extras for an after the wedding shoot. The post stated that the extras will be throwing confetti or birdseed/blowing bubbles at the newlyweds. I sent an email to the CEO of the film company to request information for the date, time, and location of the shoot. She sent me the information and the shoot was yesterday at a church that is about a mile-and-a-half down the street from me. I got to the church around 10:30 a.m., met the CEO, signed a release form, and the shoot started around 11:15. There were only 3 people on the production team: the CEO, director/cameraman, and gopher. There were 6 actors from the movie: bride, groom, a mother and dad, and 2 girls who were probably about 10 and 12 years old. Then there were about 20 to 25 extras. The director did about 20+ takes from different angles. There was a lot of birdseed and confetti thrown at the bride and groom. The more takes that were shot, the more fun it got. It was chilly and breezy. The clouds kept getting in the way. By the time all the shots were taken, we had been there for about 2 hours and 15 minutes. The name of the movie is "My Mother's Replacement". The indie production company is Dreams Come True Films. The photo is of the actors and some of the extras in the movie. I took the photo with my Samsung Galaxy J1 phone camera after the scene shoot.

I always thought it is exciting to go on a stage and see how a director works.
