I hope the photo comes out where you can see these tiny little two tetras my daughter left. Seems like she didn't know a lot about them either. She said there was originally six of them.
She told me just flush them down the toilet !! Like I told her, I can't seem to watch or be a part of watching any living thing die for some reason. Even plants outside. I worry about them getting enough water.
I have taken care of these little fish since she left. I tried to find info online about them but not much luck so I have just went by other advice on small fish. Still I wonder if anyone here has any tips?

Those are neon tetras. They're school fish that do best in groups of at least 6. They like heavily planted tanks that mimic their natural environment, a slow current in the water, and they're pretty fussy in that their temperature has to be consistent. 78F - 80F is their ideal.
Commercial flake food should be fine, just as much as the fish will clean up in a minute or two. They're omnivores, so they'll enjoy snacks like freeze-dried brine shrimp or blood worms, although the blood worms should probably be crunched up a bit so they're not too big.

I would not be able to deliberately flush them either. I think you ae doing the right thing learning about them.

I am afraid that I was never able to keep fish. I always ended up killing them while I was trying to clean their tanks. It looks as if @Yuki has given you some great info though. I do hope that you are able to keep them and help them thrive.

I've had neon tetras before but don't recall having to do anything different with them besides keeping the aquarium clean and feeding them. Normally they are pretty easy to take care of or maybe I was just lucky. @ukimori gave you some really great advice.
