Keeping My Lot family small

Good Morning Just like discussion around a dinner table, they are sometimes boisterous, excitable and words flowing criss-cross over the samplings of happy making food. If the group is too large - the conversation gets lost and it looses its OOMPH (meaning power of energy) . I like having a small Dinner group - just like I think I might like to keep the followings here to a small group - even though everyone can interact and chatter . . . What are you feelings on this matter? I would just like to mention that I have been @myLot for 6 days . . . and I already have a dollar!!!! EUREAKA

I am not sure if I am welcome here. But myLot has set no restrictions. The entire playground is at the disposal of everyone and are free to go anywhere they like. I am a free bird. I do not restrict myself. You are welcome to come my posts.

@Inlemay If you think your followers do their job of following you, think again. My humble, 'stop lecturing me' kind of advice is just go where you find interesting posts. I am running away before you say 'stop lecturing me' I get to hear that often from my nieces and nephews anyway

@allknowing You are already on my list, as you know I've been interacting with you quite a bit. I didn't mean that I was only following people I already know, but it's natural to follow them first. I will add others if I find them interesting.

I definitely understand your point, but I have discovered some fascinating people here. I'm more of a drop in person, if you're around when I am great, if I miss seeing you I'll catch you next time. I'm loving the variety here. And yes, I've been here 11 days and should reach the half way mark later today

@valmnz I'm more of a drop in person, if you're around when I am great, if I miss seeing you I'll catch you next time. - that's what's great about mylot's platform. you don't have to worry who is/isn't online while you're here. all activity are recorded and there are links everywhere.

I always try to restrict the number of connection to within a manageable limit on any site. The main purpose is to make articles by those members easy to track, but with a large list it does not work.

@thea09 I am still in Turkey Katerina, which I am enjoying very much. However, I shall be heading home on Monday. I need to fly home before all those refugees arrive, otherwise there may be no room left for me.

I have a huge list of people I follow because I was here for a few years before they went non-paying and now that I am back, I am adding a bunch of people who are joining for the first time. I should go through my list and delete those who aren't here anymore - but I kinda hope some will return... sigh.

@Inlemay I tried to delete people from the list but it is a very messy business. I will leave well enough alone for now I guess.

So far my group is small because I just joined. So far I'm adding my familiar faces that I see here from another place

You must already have a small family in mylot here! I like a small dinner group too, as I am better to speak out myself in a small group. While being in a big group, I tend to be more quiet, as so many people are giving their opinions and comments, and it seems like I don't get a chance to speak easily. Whereas in mylot, I think it's good to keep a family small, but I enjoy making more friends while I can explore different topics and learn from others as well. Enjoy your time in the mylot family!

I have 56 cents sat there and only made one post! Don't you just love the block button here, if you press it you can stop the pests appearing on your posts. Now that isn't an invite to press it on me Lany.

@Inlemay I've been using it on the usual pest types who write garbage, it will stop them commenting on my posts. It's under the follow button.

I try to follow less people. I also spend less time with other people. During the weekend I find that some people are active while others are not. I have only followed the discussion of the active people. Also I think by not following others you get to write on various other topics and meet new people.

I have to say that I really do like the analogy that you draw here between the site's conversation and a dinner conversation. Of course I love to eat, so go figure! Welcome to mylot, you are doing a wonderful job making a dollar in under a week. I have been here for a month and just broke a dollar last night. Any helpful tips for me?

Well done - I dont think there are any tips - one should just write - comment and join in discussions. not even sure how rewards are made up - dont care - just want to write

I think its because I dont want to let anyone down that I would like to keep it smaller - I have over 30 at the moment and can barely get to everyone.

I've always kept the group I've followed small on all sites I've used. It may not be the best way to make money but I don't like to follow people whose writing doesn't interest me.

Welcome, I've been here a month - that first few days makes a jump-start it seems. It does slow down once the initial welcome winds down. I don't know how much of a difference having a large groups would make since it's only a percentage of 'followers' who actually comment.

I pretty much feel the same.... I have not got much time ... so if the list was too big I would not be able to interact on all the discusions.... in way that I would like to.... but.... I lik to pop in and out of allsorts of other conversations too....
