A solution for spammers

I just came across a post in which a myLotter mentioned that he'd reported a spammer. Me thinks spammers and plagiarists should be charged. Let them be, anybody visiting their posts or comments should result in a bill raised on them and Paypal should do the needful. Meaning any monies getting into their account from whichever source will be disputed and distributed among the claimants. Terms and Conditions, need to be modified accordingly. Would that serve as a deterrent? I, of course, do not know what is the search engine's policy on this. But it does seem unfair that another person gets to earn on something that somebody else wrote and it came from their heart or mind. In fact, anything collected from plagiarist should be promptly added to the original author.

Not possible in most cases, unfortunately. The accounts they use are throwaways that are made for the job and discarded. Even the emails associated with them are probably fakes.

How about a mandatory deposit of 10 dollars in every account out here.

@vandana7 I'd rather see myLot give limited admin privileges to a few people than that.

@yukimori That's an interesting idea. Give a few people, preferably spread around the globe, the privilege of reporting with the added effect that the post no longer shows on the site (i.e. as if deleted, but only until Admin decides to restore or delete it or the account permanently).

To me that sounds like a very good idea.
