Unexpected visitors

We found two cats sneaking in the house today, almost certainly through our own cat’s cat flap. One was a kitten which went to sleep behind our settee and we only saw it when my mum moved the settee to clean behind it. The cat made no effort to run when I picked it up. The other cat was in our kitchen about to eat my cat’s food. It looked related to the first cat and when I put the one I held outside the other one left with it. My old cat was asleep upstairs and missed the party.

@cgalavia the cat in the photo is actually my own cat, Smudge. - I didn't get photos of the two cats who crept in. They seemed too clean to be strays. They are probably local pets so I expect we'll see them again.

@arthurchappell Oh it's your cat,he's cute. I like his name,Smudge..Stray cats usually sneaked in to whatever house they please,we have so many stray cats here and we sometimes feed them. They are our daily visitors and yes they also sleep around our house,we let them sleep and after all gone.

Kittens have a strange ability to fall asleep anywhere at a moment's notice. We had a possum com in a cat door one time.

yes it was quite strange - they had no sense of caution or danger. Not everyone would have treated them as pleasantly as we did.

Hopefully they had a nice home to go back to, and wasn't strays looking for a good home.
That's how I got my kitten, she was a stray who always came looking for food(cause I have another adult cat as well), and we started feeding her and she stuck around, so we decided to bring her in.
