My husband is one of the believer that Yamashita's treasure is still hidden underground, this during the Japanese invasion in the Philippines. He's been doing treasure hunting for almost two years now and seem nothing happen, got nothing but they never lose hope. They have dig many provinces and up to now still wondering around, hunting and hoping to get something.Do you think treasure are still underground?I know from my country many have believe in it while others don't.

Indeed there are hidden treasures. The main problem is that they are hidden. It is why they are generally found accidentally by people not looking for them. One needs good clues to find a treasure.

@topffer There might be some hidden treasury of Bourbon dynasty, even Napoleon declared himself from the Bourbon dynasty, or even their ancestors

@topffer You are right many people accidentally found treasures of gold and become fortunate and wealthy. But,it is also true that we make our own luck,we make our own fortune so digging with all the signs seen is a positive mark that there is treasure underground.

I also have a relative who believe in hidden treasure. Years ago they were digging in places where their detector brought them. But they haven't found anything except that they had spent so much for that activity. They even sold properties to pay the diggers and other people who went with them in their search. Now, they are left penniless. But personally, I believe there were hidden treasures but they were already taken.

@cgalavia That is what we can do to support our husbands. As indeed, I have read from newspapers, etc. that there were gold bars that were being dug. I have to share to you an incident that we had experienced. My husband told me that somebody whom he had befriended asked his help about some gold bars that was found somewhere in the hinterlands of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte. There were four of them who allegedly dug the treasures. My husband was so excited to help bring those gold bars to Dipolog City in exchange of some gold bars. I did not really believe it but I just listen to what he was telling me. their means of communication was through text messages and sometimes call. He asked help from a wealthy man from Zamboanga del Sur for the use of his car in bringing those treasures. But it was not realized. Worst of all my husband sent money to those alleged finders. That was in the amount of over P2,000.00 for the fare of two of the men, then after that we heard nothing of those finders. I guess my husband was scammed. .

@pahak627 I've always told him about that many have been lost all their properties because of continue digging, yes, there is hidden treasure but it does not give any assurance to get, treasure is no sure. Each and everyday he is hoping and praying to get, very directed to what he is doing now,As a wife I have nothing else to do now but to support him this time.

That's so true, of this place where I live, pahak627. Here, there are many who wouldn't mind selling off the shirts off their backs, if you led them on to a treasure. I have seen quite a few, honest to god folks go to seed, in this fad.

@SIMPLYD Yeah,I read some article about Roger Roxas who had found a Buddha statue somewhere in Baguio General Hospital and people believe that many is still unseen and still lying in the ground. I've also heard about unfold stories that many have found gold bars and become an instant millionaire.Lucky them. I don't think they're going to tell the government about their doing.

@cgalavia You can dig, get what you find and say nothing, but if the authorities discover what you did, you are even fined.

Wow does he do that for a living? I do believe there are hidden treasures, and not necessarily how they make it look in the movies - a heavy treasure chest filled with gold coins and all. Who knows, maybe your husband will discover one of those hidden treasures someday.

@cahaya1983 At first,it was a try then later on become his passion. That is maybe because he was taught and learned how to read and analyze the signs made by Japanese people during the time treasures was about to buried. Now hunting it is his latest enthusiasm.

It is like it was in McKennas Gold, Judy! You find every thing. But in the end, it is all gone. You are left with a fist fulls of the yellow metal, if you are lucky. As it happened with Gregory Peck, in that movie.

@cgalavia People catch this bug real bad. Here, there are many rituals involved in this thing. Some of them turn pretty macabre at times. Not just that, people sometimes get a shock of their lives in this bargain, when they run into finds, which are too,"hot", for them to handle.

Even if there are hidden treasures won't the government take it away? You'll get into big trouble of you don't inform the government and they find out for on their own.

@sofssu That's why many hunters do it secretly, not allowing everyone to tell to those who can't be trusted.Yes the government will take it if they know but it is also difficult to charge someone if no one knows where you found it.

Treasures do exist, a farmer while tilling his field in Central India, was fortunate enough to have got his plowshare stuck in a copper pot, which, when unearthed, contained almost twenty kilos of gold! In double quick time, the news spread like wildfire, and he had to forgo it all, to the government.

@gregario888 How did the news spread out so easily if he had not tell to anyone? I can Imagine how much the worth of it,20 kilos is big enough, not losing it would make him n instant millionaire, even a half kilo will make a person rich. Sad to that poor man,did the government give him any share? His luck is in no fortune.
