I had company last night and before they left we were sitting on the porch and we did get to see the Supermoon eclipse or as some have called it a "Blood Moon."
It was around 8:30 pm here at that time.
.
The moon looked so strange and then we began to see a difference in it and the color.
I don't understand the whole thing but it was interesting to some.
Were you able to see the supermoon lunar eclipse?

I did go out and watch it and do my Dancing in the Moonlight!!

Is that photo one you took Marcy? It is fabulous.
Yes was able to see it around 9pm.
Some people were out here picnicing in the moonlight in front of the apts lol

Still having a hard time, haven't been on here much today. Tomorrow I will be going to the big hospital for some tests early in the morning and then I will see the doctor in the afternoon. It will mean driving 2 hours to get there and staying around thee all day til i see the doctor at 3:30 then 2 hours to get back home. Will be visiting Maynards, Walmart and a few other stores to kill time.

I didn't see it because it was too early in the morning in my part of the world. I would like to have stayed awake but I had to work this morning. This is a lovely picture of the moon and I can see the red color. You were lucky that you could watch it with company.

@kevinakash The last time it happened was 33 years ago, I'm sorry that you missed it.
@Marcyaz It must have been a nice experience. I find it romantic as well, I would like to have watched it with my boyfriend.

Do you know why "supermoon" happens. Does this happens rarely ?. If anyone knows please answer.Can we see that now also. ?? (I the night) or have I missed rare chance of seeing it.

I was able to see it but I couldn't get good pictures as my cell phone kept making them blurry. It was a wonderful experience to watch and gorgeous.

Is it your picture ? It is a very good one
. I saw the eclipse from my garden, but I did not noticed that the moon was red. There were perhaps too much city lights around to notice it ? I took a few pictures with my phone, but they are not good. I posted one in another discussion this morning.

The picture is not the one I took as mine did not turn out well. We had no lights out here to distract from the moon, the moon looked more pink to me than red. Sounds like we both did not have good luck with the pictures from our phones.

It was a unique, sort of, celestial event. I missed it. Now I feel sorry for doing so. this picture is quite stunning, to say the least.

I' v heard many saying that a supermoon is there.But I heard it for the first time. According to what I've heard in this situation the moon looks lrge and beautiful.Is that true ?? Can we see that now also..(real) I meant not 4toes .

I was not able to see the blood moon but based on the pictures, it was really beautiful. Looks like something you can use as your phone's wallpaper. It's really nice to look at. I was able to see a blood moon back in 2011. It was also red/yellowish like this year's. It's kinda creepy though.
