Many have mentioned in the mystery shop forum recently that due to lack of many sufficient shops aviable, they believe mystery shopping is dying out. It could be a yes or no answer. There are times particularly during summer months of August to start with that I did not see many shops aviable in.my emails particularly from imtellishop, athpower to name a few of well established companies. I would hope that it is not dying out because customer service is always a big concern to consumers, and the companies as they need ongoing evulations to keep check of customer service to better their consumers satisfaction ratings, and most important consumer consumption.

I also do some mystery shppping here and there. Mainly I do restaurant ones where I get reimbursed for the meal but dont make anything on top of that. But a free meal is a free meal. I think its a good idea for companies to get the opinion of outsiders for sure. I have given a lot of feedback tk certain companies due to bad service etc. Well I hope your mystery shopping site picks up soon!

I think in Australia it is still quite strong but I didn't ever join up as we live out of town.

I did mystery shopping for a few years for a few different companies and really loved it. Then my children got too old to have fun going with me and help me remember names and such. And, a couple of job they claimed I didn't do right and I didn't get paid, which I couldn't afford to buy the things I did if I wasn't going to be reimbursed.

I wonder with blogging if it has given retailers free looks into how their businesses are doing so maybe mystery shopping isn't needed as much anymore. I thought about mystery shopping once but it seemed a bit difficult as thorough as you had to be with your reviews when you were done shopping from what I heard. I hope for your sake that it picks up again and you get lots of places to visit and earn money.

I never thought mystery shopping was anything special to begin with. I would say it is dying out. More and more people are shopping online these days.

I see that I had already been here, and was going to put in the same comment LOL It was fun for awhile, now I wouldn't enjoy it at all......or, I wonder, maybe some of them are done with apps now....or maybe not as you are to be discreet while doing them.

I am not familiar with the idea of mystery shopping, I am not sure if it is available over here. How does it work?

I have never done mystery shopping, but it may be a wise idea to continue it.
