when we're in love we forgive and forget many things but my question is what is your limit when it comes to this?

@Salamnda I wonder how some people do that. I would never be able to trust that person again

I guess cheating would still be the hardest to forgive. With my past relationship, I still found in me the reason to forgive him though despite what happened. The hardest to forgive really is yourself. I wasn't a perfect girlfriend. I had my flaws which eventually led him to do something that hurt our relationship. But then I would have lived in so much bitterness and with a very heavy heart if I didn't forgive.

we all have flaws. I'm sure he also did and this is why I don't see why you should blame yourself for his actions

@swissheart There were too many hindrances to the relationship, and our plans went in different directions. There were things that put strain to our relationship, and at times I found myself not really defending it when I should have. He grew weak and eventually faltered. If you look at it in one angle, yes, he was the cause of the fallout. But I also own up to the mistakes I've made. It's not really about blaming myself, but I'm trying to be fair to him. Anyway, all's well now. We are both happy with our relationships with other people. :)

@Theresaaiza it's great that you managed to move on and you're happy now and I strongly believe that whenever a relationship ends both individuals share the guilt

I can not forgive a cheater. Cheating shows lack of respect for your significant other.

I don't think I would want to forgive cheating, but I couldn't say unless faced with the situation. I think it is a betrayal of trust, and trust is very important.

I'm quite guilty of reproaching my partner of any faults they may have brought about. I guess that's one reason why he left me. I guess that's a big mistake I ought to change.

Definitely couldn't forgive either cheating or if they were abusive to me...

yes those two things aren't worth forgiving. but sadly many times women especially tend to stay in abusive relationships
