Quality Over Quantity!

I honestly rather read 4 Good post by a user than 10 post about nothing. I see this issue on many sites, A blogger would make a Good Morning post, then a Breakfast Post, then a lunch post and ect everyday to the point were you lose complete interest in what they are writting. A Good quality post beats 5 post made about what you had to eat or how your mood is ect. We must keep the reader interested and captivated by our thoughts, not bored.

What has more quality for you? 1) knowing what a person, thinks, feels and maybe doing with their life 2) content that is useful in some way - informational

I agree that I would prefer to see less discussions that have substance, than to see a lot of nothing. I won't even start a discussion if I can't come up with an interesting topic, and that is difficult to do at times. I do more responding and commenting than start discussions, as that is easier for me, as I don't have to think to much about my response or comment, whereas, starting discussions take a lot of thought to even pick a topic. To me if a discussion doesn't have substance, then they aren't worth my time.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX I have some discussions that have lots of comments, and they seem to be taking on a life of their own, as they are going every which way, and the disucssions are very much active, and that is a good thing.

I agree, even simple topics can interest many and with the commenting back and forth the topic gets even better! Thanks for your feedback

I have to agree with you on this. There are too many posts on other sites that are way too generic. I like to write something that would be enjoyable to the people reading it.

Sometimes people can make breakfast post interesting. Some people can't make any post interesting, no matter the subject.

That's right. Quality sometimes is compromised by someone who just post something for he sake of it.

many posters will use a standard formula and pattern for creating posts that lack any real creativity or thought.

Sometimes even a simple thought can make a post interesting. Since this site is pretty laid back in terms of the required content I guess you just have to expect posts like that. Anything that encourages interaction with other members (provided that they follow the guidelines) are okay, in my opinion.

I think sites such as this cater for everyone. Some people like to read about the everyday minutia of others' days. Fair enough, if you don't then don't read them.
