Most Americans know that this was a popular cry during the American Revolution. Very few know where it came from. I have to admit that I didn't. Today, I went out to take videos of haunted historic places on Cape Cod. I ended up at the Barnstable County Courthouse. There are two statues in front of it. One is of James Otis. Who is James Otis? You guessed it, he's the guy who said, Taxation without Representation is Tyranny." It got changed a little over the years. He was born in West Barnstable on Cape Cod. That's why he has a statue in front of the courthouse. I have to admit that a lawyer I know, told me that while I was taking pictures. Learn something new every day!

Oh my, I didn't mean to insult you, if I did. I didn't mean to imply that you weren't intelligent or knowledgeable.

I love little interesting tidbits. I was really there to hear a ghost story, but found the history lesson fun.

Jefferson was a fascinating person. I think they all were. Those were truly interesting times.
