Finally, the rain has ended here

It has been a long week of rain soaked ground. According to what I just saw on our local news, our rain is over and the weather will improve greatly. It will take days for the ground to dry out but with temps near 80 predicted that will happen.
Unfortunately, South Carolina is still getting pounded. Since South Carolina is one of our favorite states (it's where I always wanted to live) we have kept up with what's going on there. Tennessee is sending water rescue teams there to help out.
Anyone living in areas that are flooding must use common sense and don't get out on the roads. It doesn't take a lot of swift moving water to sweep you and your vehicle away.

We have had the rain too, it finally stopped about 2 hours ago. My basement is flooded for the 2nd time this week and my swimming pool is overflowing again but we are all alright. We still have wind and it is cold, hopefully tomorrow we will see some sunshine. Stay safe!

You must be along the coast. My husband has pumped down our pool about 4 or 5 times this week. Sorry your basement is flooded.

@Rinderella We're lucky we have a lot of acres, so the water is pumped out to the back of the property.

@AbbyGreenhill Yes in Virginia, I have pumped water out of my pool too but ran out of places to put it since the back yard is flooded. So it is just running out of the back of the skimmer slowly, I rigged up some pipes to run it down, all I can do for now.
