Look Out ! They let me drive the UHaul

Due to some time and logistics problems we found ourselves needing to pick up the 26 foot moving van while still driving our pick-up. Hubby says, "you can drive the UHaul" because he knows I do not do trailers. I used to drive a school bus, up to 64 passenger. This is not any longer, maybe a bit taller. Only problem I had was not swinging out enough on the corners. It will come back to me. Meanwhile, I thought you would appreciate the warning.

Please let me know if you end up driving it through the North of England. Staying at home for one day will not do me any harm.

I await news of your trip. I am sure you will do fine. I am not on the road today, so no problems.

I drove it about a mile today, in residential streets, that is when I clipped corners a time or two. Thursday I will drive about fifty miles on the highway, as hubby will be back at work when the truck is due in.

I'd be nervous about driving something that big! Hubby drives a box truck at work though so he's fine with it.

LOL I smiled when I read this. I use to drive a panel truck for Coca Cola. The only problem I had was backing into tight spots. If you drove a bus I know you can handle the U-Haul.
