Cub scouts

Our youngest son is interested in Cub scouts. He is 6 years old. So we are taking him to his first meeting tonight to get him signed up. He is so excited. He has been waiting for this for over a year now. I hope he sticks with it. Our older sons were not really interested in boy scouts. But I have a feeling he will stick with it. Do any of your sons belong to boy scouts? How long have they been in it?

When I went to school joining the girl/boy scout is not already required. My older sister does joined. Well, based on her photos it seems interesting.

I'm going to see if I can get my girls in to girl scouts. They would love it.

My dad was involved in scouts, even after my brother lost interest. My son was not interested and seemed to have plenty to be involved in. Each child is different, so it is cool that this son is wanting to do Scouts.

No, both of my kids are grown now. My son never was interested in joining the cub scouts. I think it will be a good thing for your son and I hope he enjoys it.

No my kids don't got to the scouts. My older kids did not want to go and we don't have a local chapter near our home for the younger kids. If we did, I am not sure hubby would want them to go. He does not like the scouts for some reason.

My two youngest sons went to all of the meetings and enjoyed boy scouts all the way into high school and got the highest merit or rank that there was at the time.
